Busy weekend

This weekend was so busy. On Saturday morning, I headed off to Women's Conference, and Dan took Nathan to his awards ceremony and ice cream social for earning over $50 for the RIF read-a-thon. He came home with a whole bunch of stuff. This is what they gave him:

  • a t-shirt

  • a book called Nighttime Scary Stories

  • a pencil and pad of paper from Northeast Bank

  • an eraser and ruler from TD Banknorth

  • a coloring book from Key Bank

  • a keychain shaped like a gas grill from AmeriGas

  • a 10% off coupon from Books N Things

  • a coupon for a free 6" sandwich from Subway

  • a coupon for a free personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut

  • a coupon for five free Munchkins from Dunkin Donuts

Holy Cow!

Women's Conference was really good. I enjoyed all three of the classes I went too, and came back feeling inspired.

Yesterday, we went to the Auburn Ward to be there for Paige's blessing. It was so nice. Her dad gave her a really nice blessing. Dan was asked to be in the circle, along with all the other family, plus a couple of Scott's brothers. It was a big circle! She is one loved little girl!

After sacrament meeting, we went to Megan's States Gymnastics meet in Dover, New Hampshire. She did a great job, coming in fifth overall for her age group. For individual events, she placed in everything except beam. We were so proud of her. It was a really long day. We didn't end up getting home unitl 10:00. I'm really glad we went, though.

Mother's Day

I had a great Mother's Day weekend. On Friday morning, Nathan and I went to Muffins for Mom at school, which was fun. We both had a chocolate and peanut butter muffin. That night, Dan brought home dinner from the Lost Gull. I love that place! He got me my favorite, which is shrimp and scallops. Yum! He also brought me two flowers for the porch. He does this every year, but I love it. On Sunday afternoon, Dad and Dan made us barbecued chicken and potato salad so Mom and I didn't have to do any cooking. It was awesome. I brought down some strawberries and whipped cream, and Gram and I made some strawberry shortcake for dessert. It was so delicious. Nathan had brought me home a marigold that he had planted at school, and a little flower that he made. He also made me a card. Amber called me to say hi, too. It was a great day!
